Awana Clubs
Awana clubs are for elementary school students (grades K-6). Each club night is divided into three main components: Game Time, Handbook Time and Large Group Time.
The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Our Awana club is part of a worldwide ministry headquartered in Streamwood, Illinois.
“Awana” stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed."
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV)
While Awana has many things to interest boys and girls, such as games and special activities, the heart of the program is Bible memory work. The extensive award system, uniforms and handbooks are primarily designed to motivate the memorization of scripture verses.
